The mold making weeks are part of the complete sculpture program. This course can be attended by external students who have recently made a portrait or figure at Figura. Under the guidance of experienced sculptors you will make a mold of your sculpture. The mold is suitable for making your own plaster casts. The mold can also be used to make casts in wax or bronze in a foundry.

In the first week students apply the rubber mold: 2 layers of silicone on Monday, a third layer plus walls on Tuesday and design of the undercut keys on Wednesday morning. In the second week the mothermold is being made: on Monday plaster shell and walls, on Tuesday supports, clay recycling and opening, on Wednesday morning cleaning and demo.
